Dreams    DO    come true 

A quick flutter of the eyelids and it’s there. 

Unexpectedly,  

the moment comes rapidly around the bend.  

Your favorite celebrity stands alongside you 

you spin in a ballgown with your one true love 

the warmth of a frail infant, felt for the first time.  

And just like that,  

your eyelids flutter  

slowly,  

quickening with every second... 

poof,  

gone, 

a mere memory.  

Dreams    DO    come true,  

But they can’t stay, 

If there is no fight, 

If it is not chased,  

If there is no belief. 

Alyson Miller is a 20-year-old secondary education and English major with a love for exploring works of art. Her goal is to inspire young adult minds to find their own voices and discover a passion for learning.
