About Volume 11

Pitch: A Journal of Arts and Literature has proudly published student work for eleven years now!

For the 11th volume, we're pleased to introduce a new and exciting collaborative student art and writing exchange. This year Pitch invited students to create original works in anonymous pairs to serve as a visual and written dialogue. Our editorial team celebrated this project by curating the second volume of niche: a tiny journal of arts and literature.

In this issue, we feature an interview with Annia Ciezadlo, author of Day of Honey, 2021's invited author in our Visiting Writer Series, who also taught a creative nonfiction course at Cedar Crest College.

Pitch held two virtual Open Mic nights this year to adapt to life in a pandemic to give students a platform to share their art and writing. In February, we held a Black History Month Open Mic to celebrate Black history where students were invited to share tribute works from Black authors and artists they admire.

On our Instagram, we began a weekly book recommendation from our editors as a platform to share books we are passionate about.

Welcome to Pitch, Volume 11!
